specified Must-Have: Ability to work collaboratively in a team
setting. Description: Building site, bell schedule, and caseload
will be determined during the interview based on the candidate's
preference. Prevention can include consultation, in-service
training, and speaking with parents and parent groups.
Identification may involve pre-referral processes, screenings, and
referrals for evaluation. Assessment can include data collection
through varied measures, interpretation, report writing, and
sharing results with parents and staff. Determining eligibility for
services and developing IEPs is part of the assessment.
Intervention includes managing a caseload, scheduling, and
providing direct remediation within educational settings. Services
may involve pull-out support, consulting on academic and social
issues, and developing ongoing goals. Documenting progress,
collaborating with classroom teachers, and holding annual review
meetings are essential duties. Completing caseload records for
special education funding is required. Maintaining student IEPs and
evaluations in a web-based computer program is necessary. Working
in noisy and crowded environments is expected. The role may involve
indoor or outdoor work in a busy school environment. Staff must
frequently work at a fast pace with unscheduled interruptions.
