Job Description Job Description Job Title: Mechanical Maintenance Technician Job Description We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining mechanical equipment and systems to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime. This role requires strong technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. This position is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of mechanical systems in a fast-paced industrial setting. Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment. Diagnose mechanical faults and identify solutions to minimize equipment downtime. Install, assemble, and dismantle machinery as needed. Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and equipment manuals. Conduct preventive maintenance and ensure compliance with safety standards. Replace or repair defective components, such as bearings, gears, motors, and pumps. Essential Skills Troubleshooting Mechanical maintenance expertise Electrical and mechanical repair knowledge Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics Preventive maintenance skills Proficiency in using hand tools and schematics PLC troubleshooting abilities Why Work Here? The job involves standing, bending, lifting heavy objects, and working in confined spaces. You must provide your own tools and have some computer experience for emails and work orders. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Waukegan, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $80000.00/yr. WORK ENVIRONMENT CONDITIONS SUBJECTED TO IN THIS POSITION: Exposure to machinery noise and variable temperatures. Must adhere to all safety regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment. The role involves working in an industrial manufacturing setting. Requires standing, bending, lifting heavy objects, and working in confined spaces. MACHINES, TOOLS, EQUIPMENT, ELECTRONIC DEVICES & SOFTWARE: Must provide your own tools.
