Job Description Job Description Position Description: The Low
Voltage (LV) EDS Design and Release (D&R) Engineer is
responsible for the design, development, validation, and release of
the wiring harnesses under her/his responsibility. Primary
Responsibility: 1. Design wiring harnesses complying with program
cost, weight, quality, performance, and timing targets. 2. Utilize
best design efficiencies for manufacturing, assembly, and failure
mode avoidance practices. 3. Drive commonality of designs across
multiple programs and platforms. 4. Review pre-production vehicles
for potential campaign items and assess warranty impact 5.
Participate in vehicle builds and lead resolution of issues (AIMS)
6. Lead resolution of warranty (GSAR) issues with PVT team and
Supplier 7. Participate with EDS VRT to develop solutions for high
hurt internal/external issues 8. Develop business cases for
engineering changes using facts and applicable data 9. Lead
engineering changes from initial concept through production launch
Skills Required: Electrical Wiring Electrical Wiring - someone who
is familiar with electrical distribution, routing of wiring,
connectors, terminals, etc. Skills Preferred: Team Center Team
Center - someone who is familiar with CAD software to view wire
routing, etc. Experience Required: Low voltage/high voltage wiring
harness experience. Experience Preferred: Functional knowledge of
vehicle electrical systems or functional knowledge of vehicle
wiring system Education Required: Bachelor's Degree Additional
