registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1 years RN experience
required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not
be considered. A part-time Registered Nurse (RN) opportunity is
available to provide specialized care for preschool-aged children
in an early childhood school setting in Dekalb, IL. This contract
position supports 1:1 nursing care for a student with complex
medical needs including tracheostomy and ventilator support. The
role involves close collaboration with paraprofessionals and
requires a compassionate and skilled RN to ensure the childs health
and safety throughout the school day. Key Responsibilities: -
Provide direct nursing care to a preschool student requiring trach
and ventilator management. - Accompany the student on the bus from
a nearby elementary school and assist in safe transport to the
preschool building. - Collaborate with paraeducators, Registered
Behavior Technicians (RBTs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs),
and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) for supervision and support. -
Monitor the students health status and respond promptly to any
medical needs during school hours. Qualifications: - Active and
valid Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license (LPNs not eligible). -
Experience in pediatric nursing, especially with tracheostomy and
ventilator-dependent children. - Comfortable riding the bus and
moving between buildings to provide care. - Ability to work
part-time hours: Monday through Thursday, 8:20 AM to 12:45 PM (18
hours per week). - Strong communication skills and ability to
collaborate with a multidisciplinary team. Location: - Dekalb,
Illinois - Early childhood school environment, serving
preschool-aged children. This position requires availability for an
immediate start and an end date aligned with the Extended School
Year (ESY) calendar. The interview process will be conducted
remotely via Zoom in a panel/casual format. Qualified registered
nurses with pediatric experience are encouraged to apply promptly

opportunity. Compensation for this position ranges from $28.00 to
