Registered Nurses skilled in Operating Room nursing at a prominent
Level 1 Trauma Center in Chicago, IL. This contract position offers
a consistent 40-hour workweek with night shifts from 8:30 p.m. to
7:00 a.m., structured as four 10-hour nights, providing a
predictable schedule for dedicated professionals. The role requires
strong clinical expertise, particularly in trauma and orthopedic
surgery, with additional experience in multiple surgical
specialties highly valued. Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Minimum of 2 years recent acute care experience in the Operating
Room Demonstrated proficiency as a scrub and circulating nurse
Experience in Level 1 Trauma settings Skilled in Orthopedics,
Orthopedic Trauma, Vascular, Urology, and General Surgery
Preferred: Neurosurgery (cranial and spine), Open Heart/Thoracic,
Ophthalmology, ENT, Bariatrics, Gynecology BLS certification
required Ability to float across different units as mandated by
facility needs Locals preferred; must reside within approximately
75 miles Pending licenses are not accepted Responsibilities:
Provide expert perioperative nursing care during night shifts in
the Operating Room Support trauma and diverse surgical cases
conforming to high-level care standards Float flexibly among
various OR specialties as requested Participate in one 10-hour
weekend call shift monthly (either day or night) Work every other
weekend and adhere to specific Return to Office (RTO) policies to
ensure consistent coverage Location Insight:Situated in the vibrant
