Job Description:

seeking a dedicated Surgical Technologist to join our team. This
role is pivotal in our mission to transform healthcare through

Surgical Technologist at Ascension, you will work in a dynamic
environment that champions community health and wellness. You will
have the opportunity to be a part of the critical surgical team,
assisting in surgical operations under the direct supervision of
surgeons and registered nurses, ensuring that the environment is
safe, equipment functions properly, and operative procedures are
conducted under conditions that maximize patient safety. Prepare
the operating room by setting up surgical instruments and
equipment, sterile drapes, and sterile solutions. Follow hospital
regulations and industry standards for sterilization processes to
ensure all instruments and materials are sterile and safe for use.
Assist surgeons and nurses during surgery by passing them needed
instruments and other sterile supplies. Help in applying dressings
and assist in patient preparation and transport. Maintain a proper
sterile field during surgical procedures. Count sponges, needles,
and instruments before and after the operation. Exhibit knowledge
of human anatomy and surgical procedures to anticipate the needs of
the surgeon and to recognize the signs of surgical complications.
Knowledge of sterilization techniques Understanding of medical and
