Occupational Therapist K-12 School Setting Elgin, IL A full contract position is available for an Occupational Therapist to support students in a K-12 school environment located in Elgin, IL. This role offers an excellent opportunity to provide specialized therapeutic services to help children develop the skills they need for academic success and daily living. Key Responsibilities: - Assess and evaluate students occupational therapy needs related to fine motor skills, sensory processing, and self-care abilities. - Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with educators, parents, and related service providers. - Provide direct therapy sessions both individually and in small groups to support students functional performance and participation in school activities. - Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed to achieve therapeutic goals. - Foster communication with teachers and staff to integrate therapeutic strategies within the classroom. - Maintain accurate documentation and comply with school district and state guidelines for special education services. Qualifications: - Valid licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state of Illinois. - Experience working within K-12 educational settings preferred. - Knowledge of pediatric occupational therapy interventions, school-based services, and IDEA regulations. - Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams. - Excellent organizational and communication skills.
