Registered Nurse (RN) | Emergency Room (ER) / Trauma Location: Madison, WI Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,289 per week Shift Information: Rotating - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/9/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ER/Trauma RN in Madison, Wisconsin, 53792! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nurse Specialty: Emergency Medicine Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night and Mid Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Two years of Emergency Department experience with adult and pediatric populations within the last three years. License: Active nursing license required. Certifications: BLS, PALS, ACLS, TNCC Must-Have: Experience in an Academic Level 1 Trauma center or similar size hospital. Epic experience preferred within the last 12 months. Description: We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. This role involves providing comprehensive emergency care to patients of all ages. The Emergency Department treats over 60,000 patients annually, including those with high acuity conditions. Coordination of care with ground ambulances and medical flight services is essential for critically ill patients. The department features access to a full team of subspecialists. Emergency nurses will perform diagnostic interventions and deliver immediate consultations for various urgent situations. The position includes participation in trauma care, stroke care, burn treatment, and operative procedures. The role requires the ability to float to different units based on staffing needs. Telemetry expertise is necessary; a telemetry test must be passed prior to starting the position. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in managing patients with multisystem organ dysfunction. This role also involves proficiency in starting IVs, administering emergency medications, and interpreting dysrhythmias. Nurses will handle various emergencies, including trauma, respiratory issues, and psychiatric conditions. Weekend and holiday rotation is required.
