Registered Nurse (RN) | Medical-Surgical Location: Chicago, IL Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,117 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/3/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Chicago, Illinois, 60612! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years of recent acute care experience in Medical Surgical License: Valid state nursing license required Certifications: BLS required, NIHSS required, ACLS preferred Must-Have: - Mandatory float requirement within the facility - Every other weekend availability - No requests for time off on weekends or holidays - Responsiveness to client needs and deadlines Description: The Registered Nurse will provide high-quality care to adult patients in a medical surgical setting. The primary shift for this position is night shifts, working 3 shifts per week from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. The nurse will be expected to float between units and adapt to various patient care needs as required. This role includes caring for patients with a variety of medical conditions and telemetry monitoring. The candidate will participate in team-based care and be open to shadowing experienced staff in different units. The nurse must have skills in the interpretation and management of dysrhythmias as well as tracheostomy care. The use of rapid response and code teams may be necessary in emergency situations. It is essential to adhere to strict hospital policies regarding time off and patient care responsibilities. All candidates must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 with no exemptions allowed. Proof of vaccinations will need to be provided prior to the start date. The nurse must be able to work in a stressful and fast-paced environment while maintaining a high standard of care.
