Registered Nurse (RN) | Operating Room Location: Madison, WI Agency: Revolution Healthcare Services Pay: $2,632 per week Shift Information: Days - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 17 Weeks Start Date: 3/23/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Revolution Healthcare Services to find a qualified OR RN in Madison, Wisconsin, 53792! Job Opportunity – Operating Room RN – General Surgery – Wisconsin Start Date: March 16, 23, or 30, 2026 Location: Madison, Wisconsin Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule: Operating room shifts with call required once per weekday and one weekend every 4-5 weekends; 1:1 patient ratio Highlights: 17 to 26 week contract available at a Magnet-designated, nationally ranked academic medical center Complex general surgery case mix including HIPEC, Whipple procedures, trauma, burns, colectomy, laparoscopic and robotic procedures using DaVinci Xi system Additional procedures include appendectomy, cholecystectomy, hernia repair, procurements, and preferred experience with kidney transplant Work with a collaborative multidisciplinary team in a leading teaching institution and Level I trauma environment Epic charting system utilized; comprehensive orientation program provided Opportunity to gain experience across multiple specialties including surgical oncology, vascular surgery, and advanced robotics Requirements: Active Wisconsin nursing license or compact license from permanent address state (must be in hand at submittal) Minimum two years of acute care OR experience within the last three years in general surgery specialty BLS and ACLS certification through American Heart Association only Strong experience with general surgery, laparoscopic procedures, and trauma cases required Proficiency with DaVinci Xi robotic system, including ability to transition from laparoscopic to open procedures Familiarity with specialized equipment including cautery, argon, bronchoscope, gastroscope, and CO2 systems Competency in managing diverse patient populations including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics Must pass telemetry competency exam with strict criteria prior to start Permanent address must be 50 miles or more from the work site Why It's a Great Opportunity: This position offers the chance to work at Wisconsin's top-ranked hospital, recognized as one of the nation's leading academic medical centers and premier referral institutions.
