Job Description Overview Job Specifics OSF HealthCare Children’s Hospital of Illinois (CHOI), is seeking a pediatric urologist for the Division of Pediatric Urology. ?The Physician is responsible for providing compassionate, high quality, patient-centered care. Additional compensation components may be applicable such as bonuses or incentives which may or may not be based on metric achievement. CHOI serves a population base of approximately 4.5 million, is a Level One trauma center and is the only pediatric hospital within OSF Healthcare system. With 136 beds and more than 140 pediatric subspecialists, OSF Children’s Hospital cares for more children in Illinois than any hospital outside of Chicago. Formally established as a pediatric hospital within the walls of OSF HealthCare Saint Francis Medical Center in 1990, OSF Children’s Hospital of Illinois has more than 7,000 inpatient admissions, 75,000 outpatient specialty visits, 2,400 newborn deliveries, and 18,000 emergency department visits each year. Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: - Education: Doctorate - Licenses/Certifications: Physician Licensed to practice medicine in current state. - Board certified or board eligible in Pediatric Urology by the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) - Demonstrated ability to treat all pediatric urological conditions and perform general and complex surgeries within the specialty - Obtain and maintain medical staff membership and appropriate privileges. - Must be eligible as a provider for Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal health programs. - Physician shall meet all qualifications to participate in OSF's programs for professional malpractice and other liability coverage. - Licensed by the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration and the State of Illinois to prescribe narcotics, if applicable.
