Weeks (Starts 04/06/2026) Shift: Days | 5x8-Hour (05:15 – 13:45) or
4x10-Hour (05:15 – 15:45) Job Summary: One of the nation's most
advanced wellness-focused facilities, is seeking a high-caliber
PreOp/Post-Op RN. This role is centered in a modern 23-room unit,
where you will prepare both inpatients and outpatients for a wide
array of surgical procedures and manage Phase II recovery for
outpatients. The unit emphasizes a holistic approach to care,
requiring a nurse who is equally skilled in technical prep (IVs,
assessments) and compassionate discharge education. Key
Responsibilities - Preoperative Preparation: Conduct comprehensive
clinical assessments, review History & Physicals (H&P), obtain
procedural consents, and administer pre-op medications. - Phase II
Recovery: Manage patients emerging from various types of anesthesia
(General, MAC, Spinal, Nerve Blocks). Focus on pain management,
stabilization, and meeting discharge criteria. - Clinical Skills:
Demonstrate proficiency in IV therapy, phlebotomy,
accessing/managing ports, and managing complex wound vacs or
urinary catheterizations. - Cardiac Oversight: Utilize dysrhythmia
recognition skills to monitor patients' cardiac status throughout
the perioperative period. - Patient Education: Provide detailed
discharge instructions to patients and families, ensuring a safe
transition from the clinical setting to home. - Specialty Case
Support: Prepare and recover patients for Bariatrics (Gastric
bypass/sleeve), Orthopedics (Total joints), Neuro/Spine, and
Robotics. Requirements & Qualifications - Experience: Minimum 2
years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in a PreOp,
Post-Op, or procedural setting. - Technical Testing: Must pass a
mandatory Telemetry Exam prior to start with strict criteria (100%
on lethal rhythms: V-Fib, V-Tach, Asystole). - EMR: Epic experience
is required, ideally within the last 12 months. - Licensure: Active
Wisconsin or Compact RN License must be in hand at the time of
submittal. - Certifications: * BLS (AHA Only) – Required. - ACLS
(AHA Only) – Required. - Logistics: Permanent address must be over
50 miles from the facility (No locals). Unit & Facility Details -
Department: SURG/OR - PRE/POST & PACU (21110603040362). - Unit
Size: 23 Rooms. - Patient Ratio: 1:3. - Operating Hours: 05:00 –
20:30 (Monday–Friday). - Facility Type: Advanced Wellness/Teaching

Notes. - Floating: Travelers are the first to float and may be
scheduled at different locations within the Health organization. -
RTO: Requests must be noted at submittal; generally, no more than 2
