days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 11 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About
the Position Pay Rate: $78.00 - $82.00/Hourly. Summary: We are
looking for an empathetic radiation therapist to be a member of our
oncology team. You will specialize in the planning and execution of
radiotherapy treatments. Radiation therapy is one of the main
methods used to treat patients with cancer and can be delivered by
a machine outside the body, or by placing radioactive material
inside patients' bodies, near cancer cells. Responsibilities:
Possesses core knowledge of required Radiation Therapist functions,
including scheduling, simulation, patient set-up, and treatment.
Demonstrates a functional knowledge of all major components of
department equipment. Delivers external beam treatments in an
accurate and timely fashion with a high degree of accuracy.
Assesses and addresses patient's needs while under treatment.
Practices appropriate Radiation Safety procedures. Accurate and
timely completion of patient charts according to established
standards and procedures. Demonstrates knowledge of standard and
advanced treatment calculations and treatment plans. Designs and
fabricates blocks accurately and efficiently. Requirements
Requirements: 1 - Year experience Required, BLS Certification, ARRT
(T) Certification, ARRT registration in radiation therapy required.
