Janesville offers a high quality of life with vibrant parks, a historic downtown, and a welcoming community — ideal for cath lab RNs seeking both professional growth and work-life balance./n /n/nJob Details/n /n - Location: Janesville, WI (53548) — Cath Lab / Interventional Cardiology/n - Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (Travel Nurse)/n - Hours per Week: 36/n - Shift: Day shifts with on-call rotation (12-hour rotating shifts)/n - On-Call Frequency: One night per week and one weekend per month/n - Employment Type: Travel, On-Site/n - Estimated Weekly Salary: $2470 - $2600 per week/n /n/nKey Qualifications — Cath Lab RN / Cardiac Cath Lab Nurse/n /n - Graduate of an accredited nursing program (education verification required)/n - At least 3 years of RN experience, including a minimum of 1 year of critical care experience/n - Cardiovascular intervention / cath lab experience required (interventional cardiology experience preferred)/n - Current WI or Compact RN licensure/n - Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications/n - Successful completion of EKG competency/test/n - NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) certification/n /n/nResponsibilities — Cath Lab Clinical Duties/n /n - Provide skilled nursing care for patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures/n - Use the nursing process and critical thinking in collaboration with the interventional cardiology team to assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate patient care/n - Administer medications and treatments per approved nursing techniques, policies, procedures, and standards of care/n - Ensure accurate, timely, and comprehensive documentation in electronic and paper records/n - Develop and implement individualized patient plans of care and patient education specific to cath lab procedures and post-procedure recovery/n - Educate patients and families on pre-procedure preparation, post-procedure care, and discharge instructions/n - Participate in department performance improvement, shared governance, and unit-based initiatives/n - Support system-level troubleshooting, clinical coverage across units as needed, and peer review processes/n - Engage in ongoing professional development and competency validation for cath lab and interventional cardiology practices/n /n/n /n This is an excellent travel nurse opportunity for cath lab RNs and cardiac nurses looking for Wisconsin cath lab jobs and short-term assignments in interventional cardiology.
