As a Server at the Grand Geneva Resort & Spa, you will tailor the dining experience to each guest providing food and beverage services in a friendly, courteous, timely, and professional manner resulting in a superior level of guest satisfaction. What will you be doing? · Greet guests and explain specials and promotions · Thoroughly understand the menu, wine list, ingredients, preparation, and expected service · Deliver all required Service Accents to the guest (e.g., SSA presentation, bread presentation, horseradish/cheese grating, and dessert presentation) · Communicate with the culinary and management team throughout duration of shift · Address and resolve customer complaints · Must be proficient in multi-tasking , have the ability to perform repetitive tasks throughout shifts, and have the ability to work under pressure · Record and input guest orders into the POS system · Retrieve, confirm, and deliver orders with condiments; follow liquor regulations · Replenish beverages and ensure overall guest satisfaction · Collect payment, thank guests, and invite them to return · Assist in cleaning and resetting dining room tables and booths during and after meal · Complete side work and cleaning tasks including restocking and replenishing condiments · Perform additional duties as assigned What do you bring to the role? · High school degree or equivalent preferred · One year or more of service in a fine dining outlet required · Handle customer complaints with empathy and provide proactive solutions · Proficient in English for guest requests, memos, and reservations · Ability to work POS system and cash handling experience preferred · Maintain a clean and organized environment · Ability to lift up to 35 pounds unassisted on occasion as well as move through crowded rooms to seat guests · Ability to remember, recite, and promote a variety of menu items · Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays, as well as ha ve reliable transportation to and from work What’s in it for you? · A free, well-balanced meal every shift · Tips · Discounted gym membership · Room discounts at Marcus Hotels & Resorts · Discounts at Marcus Hotels & Resorts restaurants, cafes, lounges, golfing, skiing, and spa · Free parking · “Two for one” movie theater coupons at Marcus Theatres · Ability to grow your career and transfer from one property to another · Early wage access · Paid time off · Flexible scheduling · Medical, dental, and vision insurance (offered after 30 days of employment), company-paid life insurance, employee assistance program offer, and 401k with employer match · And more!
