Job Description Job Description Staff Source is seeking Grapple Crane Operators for a client in South Chicago, IL. This is a full-time temp to hire position. The starting pay rate is $20 hourly. The shift is 6:30am-2:30pm, Monday through Friday and over time may be required at times. Job duties: • Responsible for moving, lifting, and reposition scrap within the scrap yard and load trucks, and rail cars and barges with metal scrap. • Performs safety inspections on equipment and/or facilities as required by Company policy • Complete inspections of the crane and surrounding area to ensure safe and adequate travel and operation • Reports any equipment malfunctions and/or concerns to Manager • Follow all safety rules and maintain a clean work area Requirements: · Must pass pre-employment drug test and background check · High School Diploma or a GED preferred · Steel toes boots are required · Must have at least 1-year experience operating a Grapple crane · Willing to work in a heavy industrial environment · Capability to stand, bend and twist for long periods of time · Detail orientated, ability to work with limited supervision and safety conscious are key skills to have in order to be successful in this position Company Description Staff Source is a Staffing agency that places individuals on a Temporary, Temp to Hire, and Direct Hire basis in industrial and manufacturing settings.
