Job DescriptionThe Network Support Specialist will support the United States Marine Corps Forces, Central Command (MARCENT) and subordinate commands under a five-year contract. The role involves providing professional services at MARCENT located aboard MacDill Air Force Base (AFB), Florida, supporting the Communication Directorate (G-6) both within the continental United States (CONUS) and outside (OCONUS). The G-6 is responsible for communication support, C4 policy advocacy, and planning for USMC forces in the CENTCOM AOR.Responsibilities

• Provide Network Support services to the MARCENT G-6
• Assist with designing and implementing upgrades and migrations for voice, video, local, and wide area networks
• Configure and maintain equipment supporting VoIP and video teleconferencing
• Recommend new technologies for operational sites
• Optimize data center infrastructure for security, functionality, and management
• Collaborate on network and security solutions that meet command requirements
• Coordinate effectively across organizational levels and classifications
• Support a service-oriented client base
• Maintain service coverage during core hours (0600-1800, Monday-Friday) and be available for after-hours support as needed
• Conduct system maintenance every Thursday from 1900 to 2300Minimum Requirements
  • Must possess a current US Passport and be able to travel and work overseas
  • Meet COMSEC briefing and Local Element management certification requirements (OPNAVINST 2201.4, DoD 8523.01, AF Manual 17-1301)
  • Hold a current DoD IAT certification Level 1 or above, SEC+, NET+, and Voice/Video Network Certification, preferably CISCO certified
