Job Description:

Key Areas of Responsibility

• Partner with business leaders to understand key objectives and design optimized data products.
  
• Research emerging data platforms and trends.
  
• Collaborate with stakeholders to clarify, prioritize, and validate data requirements and business objectives.
  
• Lead strategic initiatives from concept to product, including data analysis, industry best practices, and data architecture, fostering innovation.
  
• Perform data quality activities such as rule creation, issue identification, root cause analysis, and remediation planning.
  
• Enhance data value by improving metadata access and quantifying data quality impacts.
  
• Drive enterprise-wide data innovation and transformation efforts.
  
• Develop KPIs and KRIs for the data function and create dashboards and reports.
  
• Translate high-level business objectives into technical requirements, user stories, and specifications.
  
• Facilitate workshops with business, technology, compliance, and testing teams to define value, KPIs, and initiatives.
  
• Identify and interpret trends in complex data sets.
  
• Analyze process data to recommend practices that increase productivity and reduce costs.
  
• Assess and document data structure, quality, and compliance, including source data mapping and transformation algorithms.
  
• Maintain up-to-date documentation of business, data, and technical specifications.
  
• Advise users on data availability and accuracy.
  
• Participate in industry research, white papers, and conferences.
  
• Understand business problems and work with stakeholders and technical teams to resolve them.
  
• Use advanced modeling techniques to develop system narratives, prototypes, and use cases.
  
• Conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses to justify solutions.
  
• Contribute to knowledge repositories like wikis and SharePoint.
  
• Negotiate and facilitate consensus on solution scope and objectives.
  
• Maintain a macro view of processes, platforms, and requirements across the organization.
  
• Evaluate existing business processes, people, and technology for pattern recognition and improvement opportunities.
  
• Provide frameworks for evaluating solution options and capabilities.
  
• Assess enterprise capabilities to meet strategic goals.
  
  Qualifications
  
  
• Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or related field; 5+ years of experience in business analysis and system design.
  
• Skills: Excellent communication, leadership in business analysis, experience with big data, analytics, machine learning, data architectures, cloud implementations, and data processing technologies.
  
• Additional: Ability to build end-to-end data views, present information effectively, mentor professionals, and possess a passion for data science and learning.
  
• Tools: Requirements gathering software, data mining tools, Microsoft Office, CA Clarity, BI tools like ProClarity and Cognos.
  
• Other: Critical evaluation, risk identification, negotiation skills, and knowledge of data processing fundamentals.
  
  Preferred Qualifications
  
  
• Experience with consumer or B2B digital brands.
  
• Knowledge of cost/benefit and ROI analysis.
  
• Industry certifications such as CBAP, Six Sigma.
