Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1 years
School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet
these qualifications will not be considered. A contract opportunity
is available for a Social Worker to provide essential support
services within a school setting in Waukegan, IL. This role
involves working closely with students, families, and school staff
to address social, emotional, and behavioral needs, aimed at
enhancing student success and well-being. Location: Waukegan,
Illinois Position Type: Contract Schedule: In-person 2-3 days per
week, with a strong preference for 3 days Duration: Immediate start
through June 5, 2026 (emergency days pending) Sites: Primarily
servicing two schools, with additional support as needed Key
Responsibilities: Conduct assessments to identify students' social,
emotional, and behavioral needs Develop and implement
individualized intervention plans Collaborate with educators,
families, and external agencies to support student outcomes Provide
crisis intervention and counseling services Maintain accurate
records and documentation in compliance with school policies
Participate in staff meetings and professional development
Qualifications: Possession of a Professional Educator License (PEL)
with appropriate endorsement for social work in schools is required
Experience working as a social worker within school environments
preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to
work effectively both independently and as part of a team
